Flexibility is key for Alex Lambros, an entrepreneur who feels right at home in WOTSO Zetland.
“We run two businesses from here,” says Alex. “One is a mortgage brokering business, Loan Market-Unlimited, which I’ve been running for 18 years.
“My wife and I also recently launched something totally different – an e-commerce business selling fully customisable martial arts bags.”
Alex says WOTSO’s flexible monthly lease terms mean he can upsize or downsize office space depending on what’s happening with his businesses, something he’s done several times.
“The flexibility really works for me,” he says.
“When I came here, I had three staff then grew it to about 10 staff. We were able to move around and find a larger space.
“And then I brought it back down, resizing the business, so I needed less space, which wasn’t a problem.
“It’s a bit of a joke around the place that I’ve pretty much touched every office here since I came around four years ago.”
He says other benefits are the people you meet and regular gatherings such as the popular Lunch & Learn events organised by WOTSO.
“It’s been really good for us here and allowed us to grow the business as well, finding new clients, it’s a really supportive environment.”
Alex is also a great example of working local. “I live around the corner. I used to work in the city, it was much harder getting in and out, and I see my family a lot more often now.”
