One of the best things about becoming a WOTSO member – and there are now more than 6,600 – is learning from other members.
And not just those working side-by-side at the local WOTSO, but from experts across WOTSO’s network of 40 flexible workspaces in Australia and New Zealand, where incidental interaction and collaboration are a huge part of daily life.
Introducing Skill Swap, a digital professional education series WOTSO launched late last year featuring expert presentations (not a sales pitch, educational only) on topical business skills and issues.
WOTSO’s Marketing Lead Hannah McNulty says Skill Swap has already generated significant engagement and highlighted the diverse skills of members.
Many are small to medium businesses keen to make their mark and eager to share their knowledge.
“One of the best things about Skill Swap is that it allows members to expand their expertise by learning from other members who are putting their hand up and offering their knowledge to the WOTSO community,” McNulty says.
She adds: “Skill Swap makes members feel like they are part of something bigger. On our last one, members were coming off mute and having discussions – it’s so nice to see members engage and connect outside their local WOTSO.”
Past presentations include Marketing in The Age of AI, The Habit of Happy, and Setting up for Success, which can all be accessed through WOTSO’s YouTube channel.
WOTSO’s next Skill Swap is on May 26 and will be well worth attending (remotely) because it addresses the importance of mental health in the workplace.
Macarthur Square member Mechelen D’Souza, a registered psychologist and Operations Manager from Resilia Psych Rehab, will share practical insights for small business owners, leaders and teams looking to build healthier, more supportive workplaces.
Her presentation explores approachable, real-world strategies that can be applied in everyday work environments to better support mental health and help teams thrive.
This presentation celebrates Mental Health Awareness Month and is open everyone – not just WOTSO members.
Registration is free and can be made at: Eventbrite*.
