It’s been a great start for WOTSO’s first Coworking Café in Sydney’s CBD, which opened this week at Stockland’s Piccadilly Complex near bustling Pitt Street Mall.
CEO Jessie Glew says all flex offices in WOTSO Piccadilly are leased and that coworking space is filling up.
“It’s a cost-effective solution for CBD flex at a really competitive price point for such a well-located space – there’s so much happening in the area,” says Glew.
WOTSO worked closely with Stockland’s S Connect team, which manages popups and innovation across its retail portfolio and the Asset Manager, to bring the space to life.
“S Connect has been so good to work with,” says Glew. “They wanted to bring WOTSO to Piccadilly and have done everything they can to make it happen.”
Glew says the turnaround was rapid – a matter of weeks – and the timing perfect.
“We’ve been wanting to trial this retail café coworking concept that is really popular in European CBDs. We thought it would work here in Australia and the response indicates that it does.”

Piccadilly is WOTSO’s most compact site at 233sqm, and is positioned in a high-traffic location adjacent to the food court.
“I think it’s changing how we look at space. We’ve always looked at retail having to be clothing, hospitality or business services, but sites like this are turning office into retail.”
WOTSO Piccadilly is located in Sydney’s midtown at Level 1, 222 Pitt Street.
It’s a plug-and-play workspace with fast internet, casual meeting areas, kitchenette access and no lock-in contracts or deposits.
Despite the name, there’s no coffee for sale. The ‘café’ simply refers to the inviting, relaxed atmosphere.
Day passes start from $55 ($440 a month), while private offices start at $660 a month.
