Wow, what a year it’s been – the 10th since WOTSO FlexSpace was founded in 2014 and one of our most dynamic yet. What have been the highlights? Hard to say but we’ve given it a crack and here’s our Top 10 in no particular order….
Network growth: Growth is in WOTSO’s DNA. In 2024 we opened three new flexible workspaces – Cremorne, Liverpool and Belmont – taking our active network to 27 sites.
Melbourne moment; WOTSO is finally coming to Melbourne. We bought a whole floor in November and will be opening it as our 28th site in early 2025. Can’t wait.
Auckland axis: WOTSO will soon have a third flexspace in Aotearoa’s biggest city, and our 29th overall, partnering with Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Whai Rawa on a site in Te Tōangaroa.
Tech savvy: Not sexy but so important. Through 2024 WOTSO invested in a tech upgrade to deliver ultra-fast, exceptionally secure internet across all locations, no exceptions.
Cremorne: Opened mid-year, probably the best example of WOTSO’s commitment to adaptive reuse, giving an unloved building new purpose while highlighting its character and history.
Hamlet co.: No, not that Hamlet. WOTSO is a significant shareholder in Hamlet’s flexible space management platform, which includes capabilities such as CRM, bookings, onboarding, billing, space analytics, intraweb, and has had an excellent 2024 with 60 sites now using its tech.
Queenslander: 2024 was the year WOTSO’s six Queensland sites came into their own, with Robina leading the way achieving an unprecedented 80% occupancy in its first year.
Better Challenge: WOTSO members and staff walked, ran and rode 38,199km in the annual Better Challenge to raise $21,519 for The Kids’ Cancer Project.
All welcome: WOTSO threw open the doors of its AGM to all for the first time this year. Held at Cremorne, it was a revelation. And the coffee and cakes were, as always, excellent.
The party: For staff and friends of WOTSO, a highlight was definitely the 10th birthday party. The theme was tin, and everybody went all in.
