2. What is Good Neighbors’ mission and vision?
MISSION

Good Neighbors Australia respects the human rights of our neighbors suffering from poverty, disasters and oppression, and helps them to achieve self-reliance and enable them to rebuild their hope.
ADVOCACY
Good Neighbors Australia runs social development education programs on children’s rights, global citizenship, pre-parenting and peace, depending on the different developmental stages of children from preschool to high school as well as various philanthropic campaigns.
3. Could you tell us a bit about your Christmas drive?
Christmas, it’s the most wonderful time of the year… but for many children and families this is not the case. Many children lack access to water, education and adequate healthcare and many families struggle to earn enough money to raise their children in safe and healthy environments. This Christmas, we want to give hope to children and families and give them a December to remember through our Christmas Appeal.
It’s been a tough year for children, families and communities with the COVID-19 pandemic and we know that supporters of this campaign will want to help more now than ever. The good news is you can bring a big smile to a child’s face this Christmas by making a donation.
Your donation means we can provide:
– A safe and accessible water source which decreases child mortality.
– A community with access to education and school facilities that can help a child pave a better future.
A community with proper medical services and health care
facilities that can improve the foundation for children to grow up healthy.
Opportunities for communities to become self-reliant with diverse income-generating activities which enable families to raise their children in better conditions.
Your donation will go to our vulnerable neighbors in Quang Binh Province, Vietnam.
Quang Binh Province is located in Central Vietnam and has a population of over 930,000. Many have lost their jobs due to the pandemic and as a result have been unable to provide for their families on a day-to-day basis, let alone on Christmas.
4. How can people help with this wonderful cause?
People and companies can help Good Neighbors by donating money, goods, or services, creating corporate partnerships and there are also volunteer opportunities.
As we are a registered charity with ACNC (The Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission) and have Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status with the Australian Tax Office, by partnering with us, you can maximise your tax benefits at the same time, making a better world.
