What was your professional background before beginning your role at WOTSO?

I had only ever worked retail jobs before. I was working at Sportsgirl before I came to WOTSO. I had just finished up at Uni and wanted to get into full-time work but still wasn’t quite sure what I wanted to do exactly – that’s why WOTSO was so appealing, the role was/is so diverse!

What skills have you learnt since working at WOTSO?

Management and leadership skills are probably what stands out the most to me as having learnt. I have become so much more confident in my abilities to train, grow and lead a team.

This has really enhanced my life outside of work too, other than just feeling more empowered overall; being confident within myself and my abilities have set me up for so many other opportunities and experiences I would typically shy away from.    

What’s your favourite part of working at WOTSO?

The people! Members and my team. We have such an incredible community amongst all our sites. I honestly feel like I’m coming to work with my friends each day.

What are some perks of the WOTSO workplace?

We’re pet friendly – I get to bring my puppy to work each day! Also, all the events we get to put on and enjoy with our members (particularly International Nacho Day).

What’s something you would say to someone thinking of applying for a job at WOTSO?

You’ll regret not applying! WOTSO has been life-changing, the atmosphere and culture are unmatched. There are also so many opportunities for growth, I really wouldn’t want to work anywhere else.
