Time to get moving – the Better Challenge is on again.
It’s a major fundraiser for The Kids’ Cancer Project, funding vital childhood cancer research because survival starts with science.
Staged every September (Childhood Cancer Awareness Month) Better Challenge participants walk or run 90 kilometres to not only raise money, but also awareness of the 90 Aussie kids diagnosed with cancer each month.
The team at WOTSO aims to raise $30,000 this year and is inviting everyone to join its second annual fun run (or walk) at spectacular North Head in Sydney on Sunday 27th September.
Launched in 2025, it is a great way to get some exercise, enjoy the amazing views, and contribute to child cancer research.
Participants will gather at 8.30am for a 9am start outside WOTSO Manly-North Head, located in in the old North Head Barracks, a unique part of Australian military history and worth the trip alone. Highlights include:
· Live raffle with some awesome prizes including vouchers from Temple & Webster, Runaway the Label, XtraClubs sauna, Okanui and more.
· Live DJ to keep the energy high.
· BBQ and coffee cart onsite.
· Guest speakers sharing stories of impact and hope.
· A supportive, fun environment for families and friends.
All are welcome. Registration costs $5 + an Eventbrite ticket processing fee, with all proceeds going to The Kids’ Cancer Project.
