It’s been a super busy start to the year at WOTSO with a posse of new sites in NSW, Victoria and South Australia in the throes of creation and set to open the next couple of months.
Among them is South Melbourne, our second location in the Victorian capital, just across the Yarra River from WOTSO Melbourne (CBD) in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD.
Work on South Melbourne is well under way and, as you can see in the sneak peek above, the space will be quite unlike any other in the WOTSO network of 39 locations across Australia and New Zealand.
WOTSO’s regional manager, Millie Rowe, said it was important for the workspace to have its own character while drawing inspiration from the local South Melbourne community.
“We wanted to contrast it with Melbourne CBD which is an older building and has a real heritage feel,” she says.
“So we decided to funk it up a bit more and are having fun with it.”
Rowe says WOTSO Melbourne (CBD) will celebrate its first anniversary in April.
“We’re really pleased with how it has evolved. Our office space is fully leased and we’re getting a lot of people using day passes there and the coworking space has a really nice vibe.”
She says it’s also popular with travelling interstate members taking advantage of WOTSO’s Passport Program, which gives them access to the entire network.
“That’s definitely one of our biggest competitive advantages,” says Rowe.
WOTSO South Melbourne is located at 171 Ferrars Street and the new workspace is being launched in partnership with landlord C.R. Kennedy Group.
Opening special: Anyone who signs up for an office or desk membership before the end of February will have free use of meeting rooms for the first two months. Click here.
