A new kind of workspace for a new way of working.
WOTSO has launched a first of its kind concept in the Australian market: the WOTSO Coworking Café, located in the heart of the Sydney CBD.
The new model is a compact, central and convenient first flexspace designed for the modern professional. A highly accessible touchdown spot with all the WOTSO essentials, without the scale of a traditional site.
WOTSO Coworking Café is all about convenience and connection.
Built to transform adaptable retail and lobby spaces in high traffic areas, it draws inspiration from micro workspaces already gaining momentum in Europe.
Despite the name, there’s no coffee for sale. The ‘café’ simply refers to the inviting, relaxed atmosphere.
Inside, it’s business as usual, with all the features members know and love. Fast internet, casual meeting areas, a stocked kitchenette and access to WOTSO’s Passport Program.
The first WOTSO Coworking Café opens Monday 15 July on Level 1, 222 Pitt Street Sydney, in the Stockland Piccadilly Complex.
The site sits in Sydney’s Midtown precinct, a dynamic area that is rapidly reaffirming itself as Sydney’s premier commercial, retail, lifestyle and entertainment destination. It covers 233 square metres and has been fitted out to accommodate approximately 45 desks.
There’s entry from both Pitt Street and Castlereagh Street, making it an easy stop for commuters and city workers alike.
As part of the Piccadilly Complex, WOTSO customers have access to two-levels of retail including food and dining, services and fashion as well as end-of-trip facilities, a wellness space and the Treehouse Childcare Centre.
WOTSO CEO Jessie Glew says the Coworking Café is about meeting people where they are.
“We’ve always said flexible work is about choice. This is about providing even more choice for our members” says Glew.
“This is WOTSO Express. For people who want a desk, fast, without a big commitment. It’s central, it’s simple and it works.”
Stockland’s EGM of Workplace & Enterprise Asset Management, Emlyn Keane congratulated WOTSO for launching its exciting new concept at the Piccadilly Complex – a launchpad to everything the CBD has to offer.
“With the Coworking Café, WOTSO is accommodating new flexible work styles in a vibrant location close to bars, restaurants and retail as well as a range of transport options, including the new Metro.”
WOTSO sees future Coworking Cafés in shopping centres, transport hubs and regional towns, expanding its footprint in a way that’s hyper local and low impact.
It’s another step forward for Australia’s leading flexspace provider, which now has 34 locations across Australia and New Zealand.
